Portraits on the Wall
Three days had passed since the travelers return to their native universe. The shock of the alternate Romanas death was still with them, but it had faded to the terror of a dream. As usual, music filled the consol room, the piano chords giving way to a much more vibrant organ, the drums resounding nicely on the truly surround sound system, and after a brief interlude of classical guitar, Deoras favorite verse:
Trytry and not hear the voice
Telling you if you will not hear, will not see,
Will not choose which way to goyou still have made a choice
Deora sang along to the words, the Doctor giving her a quizzic

Ah, smell that ocean breeze!
Wed landed on some beach. The Doctor had, as per usual, refused to tell me where we were
(though I secretly suspected he didnt know), so wed decided to go for a walk. It was a grey beach, not
unlike those youd see in the movies when theres a sort of somber atmosphere. A quaint little
lighthouse was perched right next to the shore, and beneath it
Doctor,
I asked him, pointing to something shining in the water, Whats that?
Thatsa you know, I havent got a clue.
Well, that settles it,
I
I opened my eyes for the first time, knowing Id done so before.
Sitting up, I realized the smell of freshly cut grass and the sound of birds in the trees. I looked down, trying to figure out who I was, as though I had only just begun to exist. My handsand I made note of the fact that there were only twowere covered in grime, like a mechanics. My yellow-and-black striped pants were also smattered by the gunk, and my shoes which could only have been formerly red were now brown and stained.
Was it really brown, though? Or was it something that someone had called brown and I had accepted that fact, not realizing that

Deora and the Doctor sat in the TARDIS, listening to Deoras trance music loud upon the speakers. Theyd just left Earth after the business that caused Deora to blow up a ship, much to the Doctors dismay.
You cant go around blowing ships up, Deora! Its not very well, its not very nice.
I know, Doctor, but I had to do it to protect the Earth. You know what its like to have to destroy to protect.
With fury in his eyes and an ache in his hearts, he rounded on her as if shed just stabbed someone he loved.
That was different!

Embracing Eternity
When we reach the Age of Choice
We see it
We stare into the Depths of Eternity
We embrace what we are to become
And standing tall before the Schism
We gaze at all things
We find within its truth

The name which

We shall be forever known

To defend it
Some go mad
Determined to destroy

Afraid of what might come to pass
It is the Call of Time

Feathery Wings, episode one
The TARDIS was dying.
The Doctor closed his eyes as it finally hit him. He didnt have a replacement power source, and with Gallifrey in ruins, there was nothing he could do. His days of wandering were over. He set his destination time and place to a place he knew he would have to call home for the rest of his life: Earth. He could hardly believe it was actually happening. Perhaps on Earth he could find some shred of power he could use to do something anything was better than settling down, hopeless.
Come on, old girl, you can do it. Just a little more. Then you can rest.
The TARDIS grunted in reply, and there

People were streaming out of the lounge along with thick, dark smoke. The Doctor and Deora went the other way into the room, just as the sprinklers came on
Looks like no ones hurt. Deora glanced over at the Doctor who was staring at a mangled vending machine.
The vending machine exploded? Thats odd
Looks like it was intentional.
Now thats interesting. Traces of Erigalium?
Thats not supposed to be on Earth for another millennia!
Thats what I was thinking-now how on Earth did you know that?
How do you know it?

They stepped out of her TARDIS to a horrific sight. Ten foot tall orange creatures with eight arms (each with seven fingers) and compound eyes were surrounding a heaping pile of people. Dead people with the top of their skulls cut off and no brain in their heads.
Well, said the Doctor, Thats new.
Those arent Diaglosians.
Logasmalites, I should think.
But Logasmal is more than a thousand light-years away!
I know.
I think theyve seen us. We should make use of our legs and superior cardiovascular system.
Something like that.

Feathery Wings, episode four
The brain is a lovely organ. No pain receptors. And humans only use ten percent, which leaves plenty for us.
I prefer the heart. So many wonderful things come from the heart.
It is too easily broken.
Joy, hope, determination, all these things come from deep inside our souls, and if the brain is gone, so is the heart. Have you no thought of what these people might turn into if you wipe them out? In three centuries, your people could be wiped out by a plague that only the humans have a way to solve! Youre signing your own death warrant!
You are in no position to beg for your

Several minutes later, a voice broke through the Doctors shock.
Um, guys? I kind of need a little help. Escape pods only have so much oxygen, and Earths gravity has decided it likes me.
That was Deora! Bring her in somehow! What in the world is she listening to?
It was a song called I Always Get What I Want.
They pulled her aboard the ship, the Doctor still a little surprised by her escape.
You didnt need saving ?
Ah, thats okay. I did manage to survive the Time Wars. And grade school. Sorry if I made you feel not needed.

NEW EDIT
I have decided to limit the number of submissions to the club to two deviations per deviant per week. Uploading deviations is very slow at the moment, therefore I think that two deviations per deviant per week is a sensible amount. Thank you. :D
Also, I may not be able to upload deviations for a while, I hope this does not cause any inconvenience. :D
